The importance of Mental Health

Even though February is the shortest month of the year, we can find ourselves in a bit of a rut. The nights are only just starting to get a bit lighter; the weather is cold, and we just keep dreaming of Spring and Summer. During lockdown especially, every day can feel the same and our mental health can really start to deteriorate.

Here at InVentry, we wanted to try combat that! Introducing.. Feel Good February! The whole company has been invited to workout, walk and bake throughout February, all raising money for some great charities!

Tuesday and Thursday mornings are taken up with a HIIT workout, lead by our very own Phil & Ally Lawson. We did the first one this week and it was a real calorie burner! Not only does a morning workout boost your metabolism, but it also boosts your mood for the day too.

If HIIT isn’t your thing, we’re starting a 4-week beginners’ Yoga course! Yoga has many benefits, including both mentally and physically. It is proven to increase strength and flexibility as well as reduce symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety! Get your Downward Dogs ready!

Not a fan of exercise? We’re running an InVentry Bake Off for a bit of fun too! Competitors will receive a baking guide of what they have to make and the winner will receive a donation to their chosen charity.

Team work makes the dream work! We’ll also be working in random teams to walk or run 5 miles per week. Walking and running is a great way to clear the mind and get some exercise in. We’re sure the InVentry dogs will be loving the extra time outside too!

If you’re at all feeling down this February, there are many places you can contact to help you. Don’t suffer in silence, we can get through this together.
