Internal Account Manager: Ellie Robertson

ELLIE ROBERTSON

It’s the people that make InVentry such a fantastic company to be part of.  For this addition of InVentry Insights, we spoke to Ellie Robertson to hear all about the day in the life of an Internal Account Manager at InVentry.

When did you join InVentry?

I first started at InVentry 4 years ago when I first left school, I think I was 16 at the time, working between Scheduling and Office Admin. I left back then due to wanting to pursue a career in dentistry however decided to come back earlier this year as an Internal Account Manager.

It’s great to have you back! What do you like most about InVentry?

It has to be the team and the family environment; I haven’t worked anywhere else where there’s been such a collaborative environment – it really is a family! I also always wanted to be part of a team where we all work together and feel supported which is exactly what you get – there’s always someone there for you.

So, what does a typical day look like in your role?

Within Internal Sales, I work with our existing customers to make sure they have everything they need for their sign in system like new licenses, upgrades etc. One of the main focuses in my role is supporting customers with our Audit & Compliance software, so this could involve answering queries that come in over the phone, from our support team or marketing campaigns.

We also sell through third party resellers, and I work very closely with these guys, ensuring they have all the support and resources available to deliver the best service to their customers.

What would be your highlght so far?

Qualifying as a dental nurse was definitely a huge achievement for me, I always wanted to be a dental nurse and then I moved on to be an orthodontic therapist. I really enjoyed it but after Covid it really was a different world!

I’m also really proud to be working in sales as when I first joined InVentry, I was always interested in working in sales, even at the age of 16, so when I had the opportunity to join the Internal Sales team I was over the moon!

Tell us more about the Internal Sales team…

At the minute we are quite a small team, everyone is just so lovely and we all get on so well! I am really close to the rest of the team; they’re such a supportive bunch and they would help you with anything. I can ask them a question and they are always happy to lend an ear and help figure out a solution.

There’s so much support from the wider team too but especially from my manager. He has helped me so much within my role; probably more than I actually realise. He has given me so much guidance and helped me achieve the most out of my role.

The team at InVentry are genuinely lovely people and  friends for life!

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I always wanted to be a Bratz doll! But when I really think about it, I did want to be a dentist!

Describe your experience with InVentry in 3 words…

Exciting – every day is different

Loveable – I really do love what I do

Team– the team really makes InVentry such a great place to be

That’s great to hear! If you were stuck on a dessert island, who would you like to be stranded with and what 3 items would you take with you?

I would definitely be stranded with my dog, he’s my bestie! Then I’d probably take some matches, dog food and maybe a box of mac and cheese!

What’s one fact that people may not know about you?

I’m half Indian which I don’t think anyone really knows!
