Instantly track the last known locations for students, staff and visitors

Sixth Form students are given greater freedom and as a result, come and go much more frequently. They also spend less time in the classroom but are still on-site in ad hoc situations such as study periods. Ofsted is pushing Sixth Form establishments to have better visibility of where students are at any one time, and provide evidence of their efforts. InVentry’s staff, student and visitor management in schools system provides Sixth Forms with a fully comprehensive hybrid solution to allow staff to see where students are at any given time.

What is visitor management?

Visitor management is any process that helps a school or organisation track those who visit their premises. For many schools or organisations, the simple sign in book is outdated and no longer sufficient. Many now have higher security requirements such as ID badges, DBS checks and many more.

Is InVentry GDPR compliant?

Not only is InVentry GDPR compliant, it also helps schools improve their GDPR compliance. We have a full GDPR policy available, as well as the information regarding how InVentry controls the data you input.

How much does InVentry cost?

The price of InVentry differs from site to site. As every school site or organisation is different and requires many different features, it is hard to pinpoint one price. How we helped Discovery Bay with their sixth form management

Discovery Bay International School (DBIS) is a unique British International School with a warm welcoming community feel in the heart of tranquil Discovery Bay on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The school has nearly 1200 students from over 40 countries aged from 3 to 18. It follows the English National Curriculum starting in Early Years through to iGCSEs and A-Levels in the Secondary School.

The Challenge

DBIS has three campuses and needed a solution that would quickly identify where their senior students and staff were in the event of an evacuation. They also needed a better tracking system for visitors to replace their paper-based process.

The school also needed a solution which provided a read and write-back integration with their MIS (iSAMs), as well as a solution which had proven reliability in other International Schools; InVentry gave them just that!

The Solution

Sheila Stamp, Director of IT and Communications at Discovery Bay International School, commented  “Security checking of general visitors has now been streamlined and the InVentry solution also enables us to know exactly where our sixth form and secondary staff are on campus at any given time.”

Sheila went on to say “We found the InVentry team very professional and helpful throughout the installation. It was a difficult time as COVID-19 arrived just before the UK team were due to fly over to complete our installation. The system is now up and running and InVentry has been very good at supporting us remotely despite the eight hour time difference. We would be happy to recommend InVentry, both as a solution and a company.”

What Our Customers Say…

We also use the system to record those children arriving late and leaving early so no paper based systems for us! We sign class groups out on trips so we know exactly who is in and who is out – ideal for fire drills. InVentry – Easy to use, easy to set up and easy to manage.”

Angela Walker. Holland Park Primary School

“InVentry has streamlined our signing in process greatly. I have not yet had a member of staff forget to sign in, so it enhances the health and safety in the school as we can see at a glance who is in and out of school.”

Katherine Ashworth. Cams Lane Primary School

“We wanted to improve our visitor management system and combine that with staff ID badges for signing in and out. The ability to link with SIMS has meant that the InVentry system has exceeded our expectations and we receive many complimentary comments from visitors.”

June Riley. Newstead Wood School
