InVentry take on the 3 Yorkshire Peaks for Touchstone!

On Saturday 7th August, the team at InVentry will be taking on the challenge of the 3 Yorkshire Peaks to raise money for Touchstone. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here.

What are the 3 Yorkshire Peaks?

The 3 Yorkshire Peaks challenge is a 24.5-mile hike over the Pen-y-ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough mountains in the Yorkshire Dales. The walk offers a variety of terrains for the team to take on with some areas being very boggy!! Many people complete the walk on average in 12 hours, but on the day, we will have our own guides Mike and Steph to help us along the way if we get stuck!

What training have we been doing?

The team have been preparing well for the challenge and have even given themselves a name ‘The Peaky Walkers’ AND WE LOVE IT! We’ve had fitness hints and tips along the way from JOSHFIT, which many of the team have taken on board. The people team have organised #WorkoutMonday’s with Josh leading up to the event, to get everyone pumped and ready for the challenge. He’s also put together a handy training guide for us to follow which will be a great help for the last few weeks of training before the big day!

Vikki from the People team has already taken on the mighty Pen-y-ghent with her family, and even her 6-year-old daughter smashed it as well! GO VIKKI AND FAMILY!

Kendra in the Marketing team has also been breaking in her walking boots on her weekends off from work! She’s also going to take on a 9-mile walk over Ogden Water Country Park to keep her fitness up – ready to take on the Peaks!

Other members of the team have been spending their weekends on 10-mile walks, while others have been incline walking at the gym to build up their fitness for the MIGHTY hills! But it’s great to hear that they are still excited and preparing well for the adventure.
