Meet our Senior Renewals Executive; Lauren Thackray

It’s time for InVentry Insights. This time we’re talking to our Senior Renewals Executive Lauren Thackray. She’s an integral part of our internal sales team. She’s usually following up with renewals or answering the phones to help customers get through to the right department! Although she’s always super busy at work, she’s managed to take some time away from her desk to answer some of the burning questions we had for her! Get to know Lauren a little bit better…

When did you start at InVentry?

I started working at InVentry in February 2020 as a temp and during summer I was made a permanent member of staff.

Congratulations on becoming perm! So, what do you like about InVentry?

I like the variety at InVentry, no day is the same and there are always new things to learn. Everyone is easy to get a-long and work with and whenever you need help someone is always there to assist.

What does day to day look like in your role?

I work in the internal sales team which involves a variety of tasks as we are a busy department but that’s what keeps it interesting. My role focuses on managing all the renewals for the company, from notifying resellers of upcoming renewals right through to implementing new licences. We are a very lively department and I work with the most supportive team.

Time for a throwback, what was your first ever job role?

My first ever job was working as a sales associate at TkMaxx, I do miss all the bargains!

A bit of fun now, what is your karaoke song?

ABBA- Dancing Queen, it’s a feel good song that gets everyone singing!

Great choice! What is your go-to work lunch?

I try and make my lunches varied but can’t beat a jacket potato!

What do you do in your free time?

I love to cook so I’m always trying new recipes, but I do try go to the gym to balance it out haha! I’ve just got a new puppy Hank, so I’m spending a-lot of time with him and looking forward to taking him for long walks when he’s ready.

I also have 3 rabbits so I am a little animal mad!
