Meet our New Business Advisor; Kendra Larter

We’ve introduced InVentry Insights where we chat to a member of the InVentry family each month to find out a little more about them. This month we’re chatting to our New Business Advisor, Kendra. She started off working in the Internal Sales Team and has recently taken up a new role in the Marketing Team as our New Business Advisor. Kendra is the first point of contact for many of our customers so you may have had a little interaction with her previously!

So here’s some bits you didn’t know about our lovely Kendra…

When did you start at InVentry?

I started on the 11th September 2018 so nearly two years ago now – it’s absolutely flown by! Before that, I was working at an entertainment agency looking after their social media and organising events and acts.

What do you like about InVentry?

Everyone is super lovely, there’s a great mix of a professional and relaxed working environment, you can have a bit of banter while also getting the job done. I’ve also recently moved over to the Marketing Department so I’ve been able to progress quite quickly whilst being here which has been great. Another aspect that I love is the family mentality and attitude across the business, we all work exceptionally hard but we also like to have fun and be social with each other. We have quarterly team days where we spend the day understanding next year’s goals and strategy and by the night time, we’re all out in Leeds celebrating our successes and playing a game of shuffle board!

Lovely, Funny, Ambitious

Fabulous choice! Now it’s time for some quick fire questions to get to know the real Kendra.. What is your karaoke song?

I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker by Sandi Thom

Winner! What is your go-to work lunch?

My work lunches are always super boring, haha! But, my go-to is probably a sausage roll, especially if it’s from Greggs (there’s one being built just around the corner from us.. not great for my diet!!).

What do you do in your free time?

Apart from the usual spending time with family and friends I really enjoy going to the gym. I’m also a season ticket holder for the Leeds Rhinos as well as a Cineworld Unlimited Card member. More recently I signed up to volunteer with the St John Ambulance at stadium events and music festivals (when they come back haha!).

Tell us one fact people might not know about you…

I was in the live studio audience for the filming of BBC One’s All Together Now. I actually ended up singing ‘Shape of You’ by Ed Sheeran in front of Geri Halliwell, the 100 judges and the rest of the studio audience.
