Senior Developer

Join our team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Developer to join our growing InVentry dream team. You will be responsible for delivering against our roadmap and producing high quality and robust software products across all production environments. We really promote freedom within a framework, using your experience you would be empowered to look at ways you can improve our already successful team and ways of working. You will also be working closely with the Development Team to keep everything on track and look at ways we can continually improve our output.

Department: Development

Salary: circa £50k

Main Duties:

  • Delivery against our Roadmap
  • Be an active member in daily stand-up and development meetings
  • Take a key role in the development of applications, creating from scratch or maintaining existing software
  • Developing software products in line with user stories and ensuring deadlines agreed to are achieved without compromise to quality or functionality
  • Working alongside our developer lead to provide mentoring to junior developers
  • Working alongside the development and product teams to identify any improvements to the product and include these in the roadmap

Required Skills

  • An in-depth knowledge and extensive experience of the .net framework (C# or VB.net)
  • Experience using desktop technologies (ie winforms and WPF)
  • Exposure to 3rd party desktop controls beneficial
  • Desirable Knowledge/Experience building rest APIs, microservices and using SignalR
  • Experience with Javascript / Typescript frameworks such as Angular advantageous
  • Experience of GIT source control / development management systems such as Atlassian or Azure Devops
  • Understanding of databases, both SQL based or No-SQL systems
  • Experience working with 3rd party APIs and SDKs
  • In depth knowledge and experience in developing systems using separation of concerns methodology and designing and building loosely coupled classes with unit tests
  • A strong understanding of working development teams using Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills paired with an innovative mind
