We are recruiting for an engineer to join our implementations team. This role is the perfect opportunity for an outgoing person who has a love of travelling and an interest in being in a live customer facing role, to join an ever growing, busy team.

Department: Implementations

The role will involve travelling to visit our customers across the country to physically install InVentry hardware and cable routing along with software configuration and delivery face to face customer training, to successfully deliver the end product to a high standard for the client.

We are recruiting for an engineer to cover the following areas: Coventry, Cambridge, Bedford, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Peterborough and surrounding locations.

Main Duties

  • On-site installation of the InVentry visitor management products. This will include the physical fixing of the system as well as configuring the software and integration of the unit into the customer’s existing network
  • On-site installation of other software based inVentry products
  • Training new and existing customers on how to use InVentry products
  • Assisting in the testing of new software releases
  • Preparing job packs ready for installation and imaging new systems as required
  • Providing in house support for other employees as required

Required Skills

  • A good technical understanding of Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • A technical understanding of common networking technologies such as Cat5, Switches, hubs and power injectors
  • Previous experience of working with Paxton Door Access is desirable
  • Previous experience of working with Cat 5e, 6 and cable running is desirable
  • Previous experience of working in a ICT support related environment
  • Confident in the use of power/hand tools to allow the physical installation/fixing of InVentry products (training will be provided to this end)
  • Confident in dealing and speaking with customers in a polite, courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to confidently deliver training sessions to small groups of customers
  • Willingness to travel significant distances with overnight stays when required
