Woods Foodservice was established over 40 years ago as London’s first premier foodservice company. They now deliver general and specialist dry, chilled and frozen ingredients to top chefs as well as to the general public. This family-owned business has also been voted Reader’s Choice Number 1 Foodservice company in the UK for five consecutive years and is continuing to strive in their sector.

THE CHALLENGE

Woods Foodservice needed to accurately track staff working hours, improve health and safety as well as the ability to streamline their payroll processes. The company had also been trying to achieve a BRC accreditation for quite some time and needed to be 100% GDPR compliant to do so.

With having over 100 members of staff along with regular visitors on-site, they needed to ensure they had an accurate record of who was on-site in the event of an emergency. Outdated paper-based checks and sign-in processes were no longer working for them.

THE SOLUTION

InVentry provided Woods Foodservice with the complete package. Their Managing Director had seen the system used in his children’s school and noticed how it could work for his business.
