The Oldershaw School, based in Wallasey, Wirral, has been successfully educating their community for over 100 years. THE CHALLENGE

With the School already utilising InVentry’s Visitor Management System, Paxton integration and Audit & Compliance software for asset management, The Oldershaw School were looking to add to their InVentry portfolio by utilising our latest feature release; pre-booking assets via our new Booking Calendar.

The school was particularly interested in this feature as staff members required an effective method of establishing who had possession of which assets. They were also seeking a way to get rid of their manual tracking process and have the ability to easily manage their assets from one simple-to-use app.

THE SOLUTION

InVentry effectively worked alongside The Oldershaw School to ensure their outdated methods of manually tracking who was in possession of which asset was no longer needed. The secondary school visitor management solution has allowed them to easily and conveniently book laptops and cameras out on a daily and recurring basis. With the Pre-Booking feature being a tremendous success for the school, they’re now also utilising this feature with their work phones and general office equipment.

Keith Hallam, Network Manager said: “we were previously using an excel spreadsheet to note which staff member had what asset. It was difficult to manage, and we constantly had to go in and manually check and update this. Audit & Compliance’s Booking Calendar was so much easier to track and far more practical to manage.”

With experience of using Audit & Compliance for asset management, The Oldershaw School were delighted with the new Pre-Booking feature as it meant that it reduced the apps and software they were using and saved tons of admin time.

Keith Hallam commented: “The Pre-Booking feature has completely minimised the time it takes to book assets out, and because we were already set up with Audit & Compliance, the transition was so quick and efficient, and now everything’s tracked and managed in one place.”

On how staff members at The Oldershaw School made use of the software, Keith Hallam noted: “We’ve really made use of the notification features, so we’re now automatically notified when an asset is due back in our possession – it’s great!
