THE CLIENT

Portsmouth Football Club (also known as Pompey) was founded in 1898 and the club have always played at Fratton Park. The oldest stand still in use is the South Stand, built in the 1920s and designed by Archibald Leitch. It houses the dressing rooms, boardroom and offices and is the heartbeat of the stadium, holding over 500 staff members.

THE CHALLENGE

Portsmouth FC were searching for a sign-in solution to improve staff record keeping, site security and compliance as well as freeing up time for their Stadium Manager. They were also looking for a solution that allowed them to revamp their main reception area and Security Hut in addition to, improving their greeting to perspective stakeholders, visitors and contractors.

THE SOLUTION

When looking for a sign in solution, Portsmouth Football Club needed a solution that would give them the ability to securely welcome visitors and contractors to site whilst be able to use this data to support the day-to-day operations of the stadium. InVentry was able to resolve these concerns with key system features including, contractor timecards and reporting, fire evacuation management and advanced visitor management.

Ensuring that contractors could be accounted for on site with as must for Portsmouth FC. Through InVentry, they now have the ability to send customised questionaries to contractors before they arrive on site to ensure they meet the stadiums requirements and possess the necessary certifications. This has improved the sites security significantly. The timecards and reporting have also proven to be particularly successful with managing contractors as it has allowed Portsmouth FC to actively monitor and cross-check invoiced hours against real-time monitoring.

InVentry has been able to provide the football club with a platform to see exactly who is on site at any given time. The team at Portsmouth FC can see who is due to arrive at their site in advance along with who the visitor is there to see. With the ability to send customised invitation emails, their visitors can now sign into the building by simply scanning a QR code on their device at an InVentry screen, which has made welcoming visitors to site a much more professional and simple experience.
