Paxton Network Information


To successfully integrate the Paxton Access Control system with InVentry, you’ll need to prepare your network and systems accordingly.

General Requirements

As part of the Paxton Access Control system to be installed by InVentry, we require access to a server or PC on your network in order to install the hosting database.  In addition, internet access will be required in order to complete remote works, upgrades and support It is important that your technical support are aware of this information.

For each door location the Paxton door controller will require access to your network in order to function properly.

Internet Access

To minimise disruption, some of the installation work is completed remotely. On the day we will need to connect to your system from the following address – https://inventry.zendesk.com/ (Connects on port 443 (SSL)) This work involves the installation of the Paxton Net2 database with standard configuration as discussed with your project manager. 

Access to this should be checked prior to your installation day.

Software & Network Requirements

The following are required to be in place and tested prior to the installation:  

  • InVentry and Paxton Net2 on the same network and must be able to communicate with each other
  • The following path is to be excluded from your anti-virus scan – C:\Net2 Access Control\
  • The hosting server must not be a Domain Controller
