Halesbury School

THE CLIENT

Halesbury School, located in the West Midlands, is a Special School for pupils with ASD, complex communication and cognition and learning needs. The school is accredited by the National Autistic Society and value the individuality of all their pupils; challenging them to reach their full potential.

THE CHALLENGE

With both an InVentry sign in screen and Almas access control already installed, Halesbury school were looking to integrate both systems in order to maximise their full potential and streamline their entry and exit process.

THE SOLUTION

The school now has a fully integrated system which has resulted in a huge reduction in staff members forgetting to sign in when occupied with other matters, allowing them to enhance their data accuracy whilst improving time efficiency for their employees.

Adam Martin, ICT Technician commented, “before the integration was in place, staff would gain access to the school via the use of biometrics through our Almas system and then they’d have to sign in separately on the InVentry screen. If staff members were occupied with other pressing matters, sometimes they’d end up forgetting to sign in by scanning their ID card. Now, the InVentry and Almas Industries integration has enabled us to accurately track who’s on-site and when, ensuring a stronger element of safeguarding.”

The integration has resulted in staff members no longer having to use both systems separately; with Adam Martin commenting, “The convenience of being able to sign in and gain access through just the one system has been a massive help for us, not to mention a convenient way to heighten our security.”
