THE CLIENT

Established in 1991, Bufab UK has become a leading national distributor that offers its’ customers a full-service solution as Supply Chain Partner for sourcing, quality control and logistics for C-Parts. Through their years of experience, they’ve learnt how to make a difference in their customers’ operations by constantly striving towards an improved, efficient and secured C-parts supply chain with a strong sustainability focus.

THE CHALLENGE

Bufab UK were looking for a solution which could help improve their record keeping and fire evacuation process. They were also looking for an effective system which would allow their staff members to easily sign in and out of their site without any network required.

THE SOLUTION

With the InVentry system already installed at four of their sites, when looking for a sign in solution at one of their smaller depots, Bufab UK were hoping for something that was low maintenance and would function correctly without any network connectivity.

With Checkpoint, their staff members are now able to easily sign in and out and can track exactly who’s onsite and when – perfect for their practice fire drills! Andrew Partridge, IT Manager said, “We’ve had InVentry installed at our other sites for quite some time now so when we saw the new Checkpoint devices, we thought they’d be perfect for our depot. Staff can easily sign in and out and it’s improved our record keeping immensely.”

As no network connection is required for Checkpoint, Bufab UK found the device simple and straightforward to use with Andrew Partridge commenting “The user interface is very clear, it’s made training much simpler and the set up was effortless. We needed something low maintenance for our site, so Checkpoint was the perfect fit for us.”

When offering advice to any organisations who are thinking about getting an InVentry system installed, Andrew Partridge said “InVentry have so many great products that there’s definitely a solution that can be found but it depends on what you’re looking for. Checkpoint’s a great addition to our depot and for our larger sites the other InVentry products are perfect. We’ve barely scratched the surface of the system’s capabilities – but it covers our needs perfectly.”
